BRAND CHALLENGE

The Texas State Preservation Board's gift shops have been using various systems to take inventory, orders, and transfers. Managers have trouble keeping track of all the overlapping information which results in inaccurate data and discrepancies in inventory.

CREATIVE OBJECTIVE

I was tasked with creating a new application that would consolidate all of the tasks necessary for inventory into one space. The app also had to be able to be customized to each State gift shop and also be used by other small businesses. It was of the utmost importance to make this app as user friendly and have all functions come as second hand nature, since the majority of the users for this app would be middle aged adults in a managerial position.

identity

When creating an identity for this new app, I wanted it to be friendly and inviting to make an otherwise mundane task a little more interesting. The type choice was chosen for it's rounded friendly feel. Colors were also chosen for their fun and inviting feel as well as a system to color code each function within the app.

Manage. It gives managers easy access to inventory list, receiving forms, transfers, as well as placing orders. Type choices are very easy to read in terms of contrast, shape, and legibility.
